CollPoll started its journey with a vision to digitize institutions and empower the higher education sector. The journey so far has been quite challenging yet exciting and rewarding. It was an eventful year filled with ups and downs, with the education sector seeing vast adoption of innovative technologies and expanding digitally like never before.
At CollPoll, we examined the complexity of higher education institutions’ digital compliance and the challenges they face. Among our accomplishments were – significant growth in the team, increased usage of the product, as well as an upswing in customer signups, funding, etc. It was indeed a year filled with learning, growth, and achievement in Edtech SaaS!

Launched New Modules and Exciting Features
The development of advanced product offerings was one of our focus areas. We also launched some amazing features and products to assist higher education institutions in overcoming day-to-day challenges while growing significantly. Throughout the years, we have developed products to decrease the workload for students, faculty, administrators, and other stakeholders while enhancing their experience!
Partnered with Progressive Institutions of the Country
This year was definitely an incredible year for us! We partnered with progressive educational institutions in the country such as ASM Group of Institutes, Medhavi Skills University, BITSoM, Mangalayatan University, GD Goenka University, RV University, Malla Reddy University, HKBK Group of Institutions, IIM – Kolkata, MICA, and Jio Institute, among others.
Team Expansion: Achieving Unprecedented Growth
In an effort to expand our team and set significant benchmarks, CollPoll has grown to more than 80 members and is flourishing!
We have expanded the CollPoll family with approximately 15+ people joining our Engineering team and 20+ people joining our Customer Success team. Additionally, we made key leadership hires by appointing – Nishant Varshney as AVP of South India, Shazil Ahmed as AVP of Customer Success, Suraj Bhoyar as the Business Leader of Western India and promoting our extremely enthusiastic team members to bigger roles – Punith Ganadinni as Vice President of Engineering, Rohit Khanna as Business Leader of North India, Shiva Raghavendra as GM of Customer Success, Kartik Jain as Product Manager, and Santosh Sharma as Staff Engineer.
Team Offsite to Coorg!
Our team met for the first time this year in Coorg and made the week a powerful and connecting experience. From enlightening sessions and brainstorming discussions to fun activities and in-person interactions, it was a memorable time. Looking forward to more such wonderful meetups ahead!
Celebrated 9th Foundation Day
To recognize CollPoll’s Founding Day and its contribution to the higher education space, we celebrated our 9th Founding Day on 5th August 2022 in Bengaluru with advisors, mentors, investors, well-wishers, team members and their families.
Boost in Platform Usage
The past years were full of exciting developments and unforgettable adventures at CollPoll – the number of users doubled, user experience scaled up, and more institutions were served to do better digitally. Our focus has always been on providing students, faculty, and staff with a highly enhanced, seamless, and varied digital experience.
Remarkable Integrations & Partnerships
In the past few years, we’ve enhanced our products and forged some amazing partnerships. As a result of integrating multiple innovative solutions into our product, we provided a unified communication layer that helped educational institutions run more efficiently, with less human error. Highlighting these integrations:
- Automated Institutions’ Gate Pass Approval Process using Exotel’s IVR.
- Our Learning Management System was integrated with various video conferencing tools – Microsoft Teams, Google Meet, Zoom, and Jio Meet to allow faculties to seamlessly conduct online classes on the CollPoll platform.
- Automating admission process with seamless Blackboard Integration.
Furthermore, we became a lifetime member of the Centre for Education Growth and Research, the leading & only education think tank in India.
Growth on the Technology Front
As our client base grew rapidly, we decided to move from a single-tenant architecture to a multi-tenant architecture. From initiating our front-end migration project, establishing an engineering team for platform development, and forming an independent QA team to ensure an enhanced product delivery; to deploying an auto-scaling architecture that seamlessly handles spikes in traffic and enabling partners to be onboarded within 30 minutes, technologically we have come a long way.
Technology Adoption Key for NEP Implementation – CollPoll NEP Survey 2022
The CollPoll NEP survey 2022 captured the insights of higher education leaders from 40+ institutions including OP Jindal Global University (JGU), Bennett University, Rishihood University, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), DY Patil International University, IIM Udaipur, Chitkara University, Vidyashilp University and RV University, among others and highlighted the importance of Digital Transformation of educational institutions to attain the outcomes of the National Education Policy (NEP).
Our First Press Conferences in Delhi and Hyderabad
CollPoll hosted its first Press Conference in Hyderabad with 30+ members from the media. Our Founder and CEO, Hemant Sahal, along with the leaders from partner institutions, discussed the importance of digitally transforming higher education institutions and demonstrated specific use cases of CollPoll’s Digital Campus Suite that have brought a significant impact on the education sector.
We also hosted a Press Conference in Delhi with 20+ members from the media, where our Founder and CEO, Hemant Sahal and the leaders from partner institutions discussed the importance of digitally transforming higher education institutions.
Launched Digital Wellness Center
Nurturing students’ well-being in safe, supportive and inclusive environments assists them to be confident, resilient, and lifelong learners. At CollPoll, we understand that students’ and teachers’ mental well-being is essential to recognise their potential, help them manage typical life challenges, work creatively and productively, and contribute to their community. So, we partnered with Manah Wellness, to help institutions serve both students and mentors in a better way!
We organised mental health sensitisation programs virtually at Usha Martin University, Baba Farid Group of Institutions, and BLDEA Institutions, which was a huge success and witnessed the participation of almost 250+ faculty members and senior leaders. We look forward to transforming more institutions into well-being champions!

We were proud partners of the EduTech 100 Summit 2022 on ‘Digital Distinction – Technology Conformance to NEP’, organised by Assocham where we witnessed an overwhelmingly positive response and participation of renowned academicians, leaders, and educationists from the tech world.
The Hon’ble Governor of Telangana and Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Puducherry, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan shared a joint knowledge book highlighting a digital transformation framework and best practices of technology adoption in higher education institutions.
